Model Car
Champion Designer (1989 - 99):
When I turned 38 I found out I had
polycythemiavera and the first fibitus in my left leg left me unable to
walk for over a year. I went to a Good Guys Hot Rod Show at Pomona, Ca.
on crutches, and I saw a model car contest. I decided that I could
do that myself and went to the Southern Calf Open and won three trophies
about 6 months later for my models. I used model car building as a way
to express myself during the days of depression and fear of death. I
went on to win about 400 awards with my models. I always like to be
different and try to create models that did not exist before. After I
quite, I sold all my models on EBay and a company named Lightning Models
Detail cast many of the bodies in resin for resale.
Here are some pics of a few
of the award wining cars I designed. I have included descriptions
for each pic. Click on the pic to see all in the series with a
full description.

Probably the coolest 1941 Lincoln I
ever built during my 10 year fascination with model cars.
